WITH PRESENTATIONS AND PLENARY LECTURES, RESEARCHERS FROM DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES OF ARGENTINE SCIENTIFIC SECTOR MEET AT THE CNEA AND THE INTI TO HEAR THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN THE AREA OF NANOSCIENCE AND NANOTECHNOLOGY.

Thursday June 6, 2019
From 5 to 7 June, the XIX Meeting of Surfaces and Nanostructured Materials,
an event held since 2001 in order to bring together representatives of the
academic, scientific and productive sector to discuss the state of the art,
challenges develops and advances in different areas of nanoscience and
nanotechnology.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Laura Steren, a researcher at the
Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (INN, part of the National
Atomic Energy Commission and CONICET), said that "this is the first time in
19 years that we organize this meeting jointly between the Inn and the
National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI). We believe this is a
unique opportunity in our country that has this profile conference that
brings together researchers and technologists from different disciplines ".
The event was created in 2001 within the CNEA in Bariloche and has grown to
become a multidisciplinary national meeting which gathers researchers from
around the Argentina and international specialists.
This year's meeting takes place in two locations: at the Constituyentes
Atomic Center (CNEA) and the INTI, where attendees can participate in
plenary lectures, semi plenary and oral contributions aimed to disseminate
and discuss topics for research, technological development and transfer to
the productive sector, as well as opportunities and challenges for the
future of nanotechnology.
188 posters and Thursday June 6 will also feature a panel discussion
entitled "Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Argentina", in which Dr.
Alberto Lamagna participate, vice president of CNEA, along with other
researchers in the field of nanotechnology will develop.
