En navegación – Durante las primeras horas de la mañana del pasado sábado, a unas 100 millas náuticas de la costa marplatense, el patrullero oceánico ARA "Bouchard" tomó contacto con el buque de la Armada de Estados Unidos de América USS «Tripoli» (LHA-7) que navegaba hacia el Estrecho de Magallanes. Tras darle la bienvenida a la Zona Económica Exclusiva de responsabilidad argentina, lo acompañó por algunas horas, para luego continuar con sus tareas de control de los espacios marítimos.
El domingo, en tanto, hizo lo propio la corbeta ARA "Granville" que detectó a la unidad militar a unas 200 millas náuticas de Trelew. Acompañó la derrota por un par de horas y lo despidió deseándole una buena travesía hacia el Estrecho de Magallanes.


El USS «Trípoli» es un buque de asalto anfibio construido recientemente en los astilleros de Pascagoula en Mississippi, que se encuentra realizando su primer viaje por Latinoamérica. En ocasión de su encuentro eventual con las unidades de la Armada Argentina pertenecientes a la División Patrullado Marítimo, estaba realizando una navegación de traslado hacia el Sur, para continuar por el Océano Pacífico con destino a la Base Naval de San Diego en California.
