El buque escuela español "Juan Sebastián de Elcano" soltó amarras de Buenos Aires Había arribado el pasado 23 de noviembre al Apostadero Naval Buenos Aires en el marco de su 92° Viaje de Instrucción. lunes 30 de diciembre de 2020 Buenos Aires – El sábado por la tarde el buque escuela español "Juan Sebastián de Elcano", al mando del Capitán de Navío Santiago Colsa Trueba, zarpó desde Dársena Norte del Puerto de Buenos Aires con rumbo a la ciudad de Mar del Plata. De la despedida participaron autoridades navales y residentes españoles, acompañados por la Banda de Música de la Armada Argentina. El navío tiene una dotación formada por 174 hombres y mujeres. Asimismo, lleva a bordo a 55 guardiamarinas pertenecientes a la 422º promoción del Cuerpo General y 152º de Infantería de Marina. Además, también cuenta con la presencia de guardiamarinas procedentes de las Armadas de Brasil, Chile, Perú y Uruguay. Se trata del 92º Viaje de Instrucción para guardiamarinas de la Armada Española que se enmarca en la conmemoración del V Centenario de la primera circunnavegación a la tierra realizada por Magallanes y Elcano. El objetivo de este buque escuela es contribuir a la formación integral (militar, marinera, técnica, socio-cultural, humano-ética y física) de los guardiamarinas embarcados, mediante la instrucción y el adiestramiento en mar y en puerto. A la conclusión del presente Viaje de Instrucción, el buque escuela español habrá visitado Las Palmas, Río de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Mar de Plata, Montevideo, Recife, Curazao, Santo Domingo y Miami, antes de regresar a Cádiz el 18 de abril. Se prevé arribar al Puerto de Mar del Plata el 31 de diciembre; allí abrirá sus puertas al público hasta el 4 de enero.
