Argentina Chamber of Software Industry (CESSI) delivered yesterday in Puerto Madero Sadosky Awards in its 15th edition. The National Agency for the Promotion Science and Technology received a special mention to boost research, development and innovation in the IT industry through the Fund Tecnológico Argentino (FONTAR) and the Trust Fund for the Promotion of Industry Software (FONSOFT). Responsible for receiving the distinction were the president of the Agency, Mr. Facundo Lagunas.; FONTAR director, Aimee Garcia Lic.; and the director of the Software Industry, Lic. Nestor Simone.

Lagunas in his speech thanked and highlighted the successful public policy encouraged the Agency regarding the FONSOFT; as well as achievements in its 15 years of existence and more than 5,000 funded projects.

Sadosky Awards are a tribute to Dr. Manuel Sadosky, Argentine scientist who has been the promoter of the development of technology in our country and whose contributions from academia, public and are a fundamental scientific basis for the current industry. Since it was launched, said those industry members who, through their work and performance, year after year contribute to the growth of the software and the economy of knowledge in any of its strategic axes.

La Cámara de la Industria Argentina del Software (CESSI) entregó ayer en Puerto Madero los Premios Sadosky en su 15ta edición. La Agencia Nacional de Promoción Científica y Tecnológica recibió una mención especial por impulsar la Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación en la Industria TI a través del Fondo Tecnológico Argentino (FONTAR) y el Fondo Fiduciario de Promoción de la Industria del Software (FONSOFT). Los encargados de recibir la distinción fueron el presidente de la Agencia, Ing. Facundo Lagunas; la directora del FONTAR, Lic. Aimée García; y el director de la Industria del Software, Lic. Néstor Simone.

En su alocución Lagunas agradeció y destacó la política pública exitosa que llevó adelante la Agencia en relación al FONSOFT; así como los logros obtenidos en sus 15 años de existencia y más de 5 mil proyectos financiados.

Los Premios Sadosky son un homenaje al Dr. Manuel Sadosky, científico argentino que ha sido el promotor del desarrollo de la tecnología en nuestro país y cuyos aportes desde el ámbito académico, público y científico son una base fundamental de la industria actual. Desde que se ha puesto en marcha, ha señalado a aquellos miembros de la Industria que, con su labor y desempeño, contribuyen año tras año al crecimiento del software y la economía del conocimiento en cualquiera de sus ejes estratégicos.
