Carlos Soratti is the new President of the INCUCAI By Decree 269/2020 issued on March 17 in the Official Gazette Dr. Carlos Soratti he was appointed President of the INCUCAI for a period of four years. Tuesday 17 March 2020 Dr. Carlos Alberto Soratti is a doctor specializing in Intensive Care and Health Systems and Social Security. He was Secretary for Policy, Regulation and Institutions of the Ministry of Health of the Nation 2006 to 2009 and President of the INCUCAI between 2003 and 2006 and from 2009 to January 2016. Between 1995 and 2003 he was president of the Unified Coordination Center Ablation and Implants Buenos Aires (CUCAIBA) and first Director of the Directorate of Coordination, Programming and Ablation (DICOPROA), in the City of Buenos Aires. Between 2005 and 2015 he also held the vice-presidency of the Ibero-American Network Council on Donation and Transplantation and represented Argentina in the Intergovernmental Committee on Donation and Transplantation Meeting of Health Ministers of Mercosur, since its inception in 2006-2015. In 2006 he chaired the Organizing Committee of the Second World Day for Donation and Transplantation held in Argentina. In 2011 he was President of the 11th Congress of the International Society for Organ Donor and Procurement (ISODP) conducted in our country. Since 2011 he directs the graduate course in the Process Management Procurement and Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells ISALUD University. Throughout his career, Soratti received numerous awards, among which are the Mercosur 2013 Award for Merit in Public Health of States Parties and Associates and the Foundation Award for career ISALUD. It is also Doctor Honoris Causa of the National University of Misiones. During his tenure in the INCUCAI and the basic premise of increasing donation and transplantation from 2003 was implemented in our country the Federal Program Organ Procurement and Tissue, which incorporated the figure of the Hospital Transplant Coordinator as generation driver donors from within hospitals. With the implementation of the Program tremendous growth of transplants it was achieved in our country; the organ procurement activity, reflected in the index donors per million inhabitants rose from 6 in 2002 to 15. 1 in 2012, placing Argentina as a regional reference in the field. Decree 269/2020, published on March 17 in the Official Gazette, bears the signatures of the President of the Nation Alberto Fernandez, the Chief of Staff James Cafiero and Health Minister Gines Gonzalez Garcia, and empowers Dr. Soratti to serve as Chair of the Board of the INCUCAI for a period of four years, according to the provisions of Article 58 of Law No. 27. 447.

Carlos Soratti es el nuevo Presidente del INCUCAI Mediante el Decreto 269/ 2020 publicado el 17 de marzo en el Boletín Oficial el Dr. Carlos Soratti fue designado Presidente del INCUCAI por un periodo de cuatro años. martes 17 de marzo de 2020 El Dr. Carlos Alberto Soratti es médico con especialización en Terapia Intensiva y en Sistemas de Salud y Seguridad Social. Fue Secretario de Políticas, Regulación e Institutos del Ministerio de Salud de la Nación del 2006 al 2009 y Presidente del INCUCAI entre 2003 y 2006 y desde 2009 hasta enero de 2016. Entre 1995 y 2003 fue presidente del Centro Único Coordinador de Ablación e Implante de Buenos Aires (CUCAIBA) y primer Director de la Dirección de Coordinación, Programación y Ablación (DICOPROA), en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Entre 2005 y 2015 ocupó también la vicepresidencia de la Red Consejo Iberoamericano de Donación y Trasplante y representó a Argentina en la Comisión Intergubernamental de Donación y Trasplante de la Reunión de Ministros de Salud de Mercosur, desde su creación en 2006 hasta 2015. En 2006 presidió el Comité Organizador del Segundo Día Mundial para la Donación y el Trasplante realizado en Argentina. En 2011 fue Presidente del 11th Congress of the International Society for Organ Donor and Procurement (ISODP) realizado en nuestro país. Desde el año 2011 dirige el Curso de Posgrado Gestión en el Proceso de Procuración y Trasplante de Órganos, Tejidos y Células de la Universidad ISALUD. A lo largo de su trayectoria, Soratti recibió numerosos reconocimientos, entre los cuales se encuentran el Premio Mercosur 2013 al Mérito en Salud Pública de los Estados Partes y Asociados y el Premio Fundación ISALUD por la trayectoria. Es además Doctor Honoris Causa de la Universidad Nacional de Misiones. Durante su gestión en el INCUCAI y con la premisa básica de incrementar la donación y el trasplante, a partir del año 2003 se implementó en nuestro país el Programa Federal de Procuración de Órganos y Tejidos, el cual incorporó la figura del Coordinador Hospitalario de Trasplante como impulsor de la generación de donantes desde el interior de los hospitales. Con la puesta en marcha del Programa se logró un gran crecimiento de los trasplantes en nuestro país; la actividad de procuración de órganos, reflejada en el índice de donantes por millón de habitantes, pasó de 6 en 2002 a 15. 1 en 2012, posicionando a la Argentina como una referencia regional en la materia. El Decreto 269/ 2020, publicado el 17 de marzo en el Boletín Oficial, lleva las firmas del Presidente de la Nación Alberto Fernández, el Jefe de Gabinete Santiago Cafiero y el Ministro de Salud, Ginés González Garcia, y faculta al Dr. Soratti a ejercer la presidencia del Directorio del INCUCAI por un período de cuatro años, de acuerdo a lo establecido por el Artículo 58 de la Ley N° 27. 447.
