IALA Secretary General visited the Naval Prefecture Argentina It was within the framework of the 11th session of the Committee on Regulations and Management of Aids to Navigation (ARM), held in our country. Thursday 12 March 2020 The Secretary General of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), Francis Zachariae visited the Coast Guard Building, headquarters of the Naval Prefecture Argentina, located in the neighborhood of Puerto Madero. Zachariae held a meeting with National Naval Prefect, General Prefect Mario Farinon, where they exchanged information about the maritime sector and institutional activities. IALA authority also saw an exhibition in the Situation Room, where specialized staff gave a presentation on the functions Prefecture on maritime safety issues. Notably, the driving force Mario Farinon, is an associate member of IALA since 2004 and maintains a solid exchange with this Association. The institution participates in the sessions of the Committee on Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) and the Committee on e-Navigation, Information and Communications Services (ENAV). In addition, continuous cooperation, the Naval Prefecture Argentina IALA presented to the Spanish translation of the Manual of Maritime Traffic Services, 2016 Edition, for broadcast from the official website for Spanish-speaking members. The valuable contribution of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation Maritime and Lighthouse Authorities in the technical, is a key element to adapt, update and expand our practices and protocols relating to vessel traffic services in accordance with the requirements and trends worldwide on navigation, traffic management, service coordination and training of VTS operators and supervisors.

El Secretario General de IALA visitó la Prefectura Naval Argentina Fue en el marco del 11º periodo de sesiones del Comité de Prescripciones y Gestión de las Ayudas a la Navegación (ARM), que se celebra en nuestro país. jueves 12 de marzo de 2020 El Secretario General de la Asociación Internacional de Ayudas a la Navegación Marítima y Autoridades de Faros (IALA), Francis Zachariae, visitó el Edificio Guardacostas, sede de la Prefectura Naval Argentina, ubicado en el barrio porteño de Puerto Madero. Zachariae mantuvo una reunión con el Prefecto Nacional Naval, prefecto general Mario Farinon, donde intercambiaron información acerca del ámbito marítimo y el quehacer institucional. La autoridad de IALA presenció también una exposición en la Sala de Situación, donde personal especializado realizó una presentación sobre las funciones de Prefectura en cuestiones de seguridad marítima. Cabe destacar que la Fuerza que dirige Mario Farinon, es miembro asociado de IALA desde el 2004 y mantiene un sólido intercambio con esta Asociación. La Institución participa en los periodos de sesiones del Comité sobre Servicios de Tráfico Marítimo (VTS) y del Comité de e-Navegación, Servicios de Información y Comunicaciones (ENAV). Además, en continua cooperación, la Prefectura Naval Argentina presentó a IALA la traducción al español del Manual de Servicios de Tráfico Marítimo, Edición 2016, para su difusión desde la página oficial para los miembros hispanohablantes. El valiosísimo aporte de la Asociación Internacional de Ayudas a la Navegación Marítima y Autoridades de Faros en materia técnica, es un elemento fundamental para adaptar, actualizar y ampliar nuestras prácticas y protocolos en materia de servicios de tráfico marítimo de acuerdo con las exigencias y tendencias a nivel mundial en materia de navegación, ordenación de tráfico, coordinación de servicios y formación de operadores y supervisores VTS.
