El Ministerio de Obras Públicas destinará recursos a la Universidad Nacional de San Martín y a la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, para la ejecución de obras en el marco del Programa Nacional de Inversión en Infraestructura Universitaria.
En ese sentido, el ministro Gabriel Katopodis junto al secretario de Políticas Universitarias, Jaime Perczyk; el secretario de Obras Públicas, Martín Gill; y el rector de la Universidad de San Martín, Carlos Greco, firmaron un convenio por $227,9 millones para la construcción de un edificio en el Campus Miguelete con una superficie de 4. 837m2.
Las obras permitirán incorporar 21 aulas y 18 espacios de desarrollo e investigación, para beneficiar a aproximadamente 1. 300 estudiantes, becarios e investigadores.
Asimismo, Katopodis recorrió la Universidad Nacional de La Plata y firmó un acuerdo junto al presidente de la Institución, Fernando Tauber, para la construcción, ampliación y puesta en valor de los edificios "B" y "C" en el Bosque Este de la ciudad, con una superficie total de 4. 4. 54 m2, que sumará áreas para el desarrollo de actividades relacionadas con la investigación, transferencia tecnológica, capacitación e incubación de emprendimientos.
