CONAL ANALYZED THE SIMPLIFICATION OF THE NATIONAL FOOD CONTROL SYSTEM

Innovation will serve to generate improvements in both the system and the
functioning of the central instrument, the National Food Commission.

Government Secretary of Agribusiness of the Nation, Luis Miguel
Etchevehere, led the 128th Extraordinary Meeting of the National Food
Commission (CONAL), where proposals for simplification and
de-bureaucratization of the National Food Control and mechanisms were
announced for updating the regulatory framework in our country, from the
joint work of five national agencies.
Innovation will be held to generate improvements in national food control
system and its main instrument, the CONAL, whose decisions are binding on
the president of that committee.
During the opening, Etchevehere said "these changes clearly point to give
greater prominence to the National Food Commission, strengthen the Senasa,
and thus achieve a clear improvement of the system. The changes will lead
to Argentina to have institutions more agile and modern, and keep up demand
in the world "and stressed that" this is thanks to the consensus of the
portfolios of Health and Agro-Industry, to be a reliable food supplier in
the smart insertion of Argentina in the world President holds Macri. "
"The provinces have greater role and responsibility, which means greater
federalism and strengthening them in the areas of discussion of this
Commission. It is a unique situation that drives us to change because the

In this regard, the National Director of Food and Beverage, Mercedes Nimo,
said "the work we place between the Ministries of Health, Streamlining
Production and Agro-industry to modernize the system and the nation with
the provinces to address processes more articulately, offering better
services to the productive sector. for this also the provinces carry out a
strong work inward with each linked to food production area. "
Also secretary of Regulation and Health Management, Josefa Rodríguez
Rodríguez, explained that "the idea is to improve the quality of life of
citizens, and to do less bureaucracy and simplification in such an
important health and production issue such as safe food and quality. "
Finally, the Secretary of Simplification Production of the Ministry of
Production and Labor, Pedro Inchauspe said that "the modernization of the
National Food Control is to change the state's role in simplifying the
process of keeping productive sectors to which the world is asking a great
technological stamp with forums, files and digital platforms that enable us
to democratize information ".
Meeting was also attended by president of Senasa, Ricardo Negri; National
administrator of the ANMAT, Carlos Chiale; Deputy Director of ANMAT, Waldo
Belloso, director of Health Promotion and Noncommunicable Disease Control
of the Ministry of Health, Veronica Schoj; National Director of
Simplification Regulations, Maria Caraballo; Director of Evaluation and
Records INAL, Evangelina Macías; the coordinator of the US Food and
Bioeconomics, Lois Abrodos; Senasa officials, ANMAT, INAL and the Ministry
of Domestic Trade; and representatives from 21 provinces and the Autonomous
City of Buenos Aires.
