Buenos Aires - Vice President of the National Health Service and Food
Quality (Senasa), Guillermo Rossi, emphasized the importance of Argentine
Fund for International Cooperation and Triangulation South - South (FO.AR)
to support regional work that allowed lobster control sudamerica in the
tripartite border of Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay.
"The FO.AR Project enabled a rapid invasion of locusts in Bolivia response.

The meeting was also attended by the head of Hector Medina, National
Program Locusts and grasshoppers Senasa and representatives of the National
Service of Food Safety and Food Safety (SENASAG) of Bolivia. But this time
did not attend the workshop, also it participates in the Regional Plan
Locust American National Quality and Plant Health and Seed (Senave) of
Paraguay.
In this regard, Medina explained that "within 45 days of exchanges we
specify seven missions with the participation of 14 Argentine experts and 4
bolivianos, leading the regional work for pest control."
During the workshop each country spoke about the current situation of the
pest in its territory, on the situation at regional level and working
together developed.
The regional plan coordinates and implements joint phytosanitary actions
among the three countries for pest management in order to contribute to the
sustainability of agricultural production and native forest in the region.
