HE IS WORKING ENVIRONMENT IN JAPAN FOR NEXT G20

Environmental portfolio, led by Sergio Bergman, participated in several
meetings to build consensus and ensure the continuity of the themes of
environment, energy and climate change on the agenda of this important
global forum.

As part of the Fourteenth Summit of G20 Leaders to be held on 28 and 29
June in Osaka, Japan, the Government Secretariat of Environment and
Sustainable Development of the Nation, representing Argentina, he was
present at the meetings organized by the current Japanese Presidency. There
participated Carlos Gentile, Secretary of Climate Change and Sustainable
Development of national environmental area.
Specifically, the Japanese country decided to continue the Working Group
Transitions Energy (ETWG), launched during Argentina's presidency, while
convened in parallel, a Working Group of Senior Officials on Environment
(ESOM). G20 parties, countries and organizations invited an active part in

scope, agenda items and the results proposed by the Japanese presidency.

exchange and discussion sessions were conducted related to: the
acceleration of the virtuous circle of environmental protection and
economic growth through innovation; the energy transitions that achieve "3E
+ S" (energy security, economic efficiency, environmental and safety); and
resource efficiency, marine plastic waste, climate change and adaptation
and resilient infrastructure.
